There is nothing quite like spending the day working in the garden, especially in the spring. Planning where to plant, preparing the soil and planting the seeds and young seedlings, the sweat of the brow, the dirt under the fingernails. Yes, I do believe the smell of dirt on the body after a hard spring days work is perhaps one of God’s great gifts to those of us that can appreciate it.
